    Grief support is provided by Jones & Company at no extra cost to client families via the services of a qualified grief counsellor, Irene Reid. Irene, a trained counsellor, is available to support family members in a time of grief. 

    It can be very helpful at this time to have an independent but sympathetic person to talk to confidentially. Expressing emotions and voicing feelings can help bring healing. 

    As a service to our community, Irene and our Funeral Directors facilitate training sessions at Rest Homes in our area and the Maternity Annexe at Tauranga Hospital on subjects such as:

    • Understanding and working through grief and loss
    • Helping families at the time of death
    • Post death procedures
    • Myths surrounding grief and loss
    • Stress management
    • How do staff support residents/patients through grieving
    • Funeral planning and pre paying funerals
