Care and Qualifications
The last 18 months have seen two Jones and Company Staff members complete courses in Funeral Directing and Embalming. Paul Gilmore (Funeral Directing) and Phil Rutland (Embalming) have successfully completed a Diploma in Funeral Directing and a Diploma in Embalming. Both of these courses are run through Weltec in Wellington. The move from a Certificate in each respective course to a Diploma is a first for the Course. Both Paul and Phil will be among the first students to qualify with these diplomas.
The course meant a return to tertiary study and time away from Tauranga to complete requirements in Wellington. Jones and Company are proud of their respective achievements. Paul and Phil will each be formally recognised by the Funeral Industry for the qualifications later this year.
Omanu Bowls
Jones and Company were the proud sponsors of the recent Open Tournament held at the Omanu Bowling Club on Wednesday 8th September 2010. We wish the Omanu Bowling Club the very best for the rest of the season and congratulate them on the re-grassing of one of their bowling links.
